San Cristóbal City is the birthplace of Dominican Republic Constitution. It is located in the southern part of the island; it borders at west with Santo Domingo, the Capital City itself.

The main municipalities that form San Cristóbal City are: Haina, Cambita, Yaguate and Palenque. In San Cristóbal there are also caves with tainos’ hieroglyphics in the Cuevas de Borbón ( Borbon’s Caves).

San Cristóbal was the privileged city of Dictator Trujillo, where his former houses and properties are located. It is said that the Church as well as other places in the city have underground tunnels constructed in those times of dictatorship by the president’s security agents and that nowadays they’re part of those historical content places.

Among the main tourism attraction present in San Cristobal we have Palenque Public Beach and La Toma spa. In San Cristóbal there is also the Imperio de Boca de Nigua which is an ancient monument of sugar production.

Toma of San Cristóbal is a frequently visited place by inhabitants of the southern region of the island and by those who live in the Capital. It is a great spa with a swimming pool style formed by the waters of a natural river.
