NACO, SANTO DOMINGO.- Since art is the form of expression of all countries and inspired by the quality and richness of Dominican painters and sculptors, Bellapart Museum opens its doors.  It is a modern museum created and inaugurated in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Bellapart Museum offers the visitors the exposition of its four categories: “Pioneers”, “Modern Painting”, “The Exiled” and “Members of the Avant-garde”. The collection is formed by the most outstanding Dominican artists such as Enrique García Godoy, Gaspar Mario Cruz, among others, along with important Spanish artists.

Besides connecting the visitors with a collection of the best works of Dominican artists, the museum provides the chance of an economical purchase of many of these great unquestionable high quality works of art.

The diverse range of works of arts is noticeable from the most classic to the most avant-garde paints portraying landscapes, the famous dark-skinned ladies, old cars, abstracts, expressions of Dominican life as well as photo expositions of the highest level and a collection from 1800.

Visiting Bellapart Museum is valuable alternative for those culture, art, paint and Dominican photo lovers; it undoubtedly meets all the expectative of those who visit it showing them the Dominican History through the art.

It was inaugurated in February 1999; its president is Mr. Juan José Bellapart and its director is Mrs. Luisa Auffant.

Museum schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.
It is locate on John F. Kennedy Avenue, Honda Building, 5th Floor, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
